Ns. ayshireläinen perinnevarhaisperuna,
jota on kasvatettu kylmillä alueilla, ja sen
kerrotaan selviävän jopa pienistä
hallanpuraisuista. Tätä voi kasvattaa
myös ns. pussiperunana terassilla.
Jauhoinen syväsilmäinen perinnelajike.
Onnistui Suomessa pelto-olosuhteissa erinomaisesta
ja vaikka ei ole kovin satoisa, maku oli kertakaikkisen
herkullinen.

'new' potato with white skin and creamy white
flesh of delicious flavour. Potato 'Epicure' is
the traditional Ayrshire potato grown in cold
regions for its ability to recover from a touch
of frost. Ideal for boiling or steaming. Height

Epicure seed potatoes are
also known as 'Ayrshires' with them being the
traditional early potato in that particular area.
Epicure produces high yields of floury, white
fleshed tubers that are round in shape. By far
one of the best tasting first earlies which are
now making a comeback by popular demand.
An old heritage variety, Epicure potatoes have
the ability to recover quickly from a nip of frost,
which is what makes them so popular in early producing
areas (such as Ayrshire).
